The Abandoned City 30: Lessa and the lingering soul of Rosarla talk, Rosarla notes that Lessa is not human and appears as a small goat. She reveals that she lingers due to wanting to protect Raynold after escaping a Deman's stomach of souls. Raynold's father is revealed to have died after being stabbed by a gangster in Raynold's childhood. Raynold, Miena, Yuzuru, Lessa, and Young-sam enter Hexagon Field.

The Abandoned City 31: Raynold, Miena, Yuzuru, Lessa, and Young-sam return to Raynold's home to pick up the bag of equipment. They have a picnic and rehash the plan to rescue Lucy.

The Abandoned City 32: Rano, Lessa, and Young-sam break into the HAIS facility. Miena and Yuzuru remain outside, Yuzuru acting as hacker. Rano, Lessa, and Young-sam split to cover the storage facilities spread over the three wings A-C. Young-sam is discovered and misdirected towards wing B, as are Lessa and Rano through him.

The Abandoned City 33: Rano is discovered and defeats all the guards. Young-sam is discovered by Ryan, revealing them knowing each other. Rano arrives at the storage facility in wing B, while Lessa remains lost and is confronted by Ra.

The Abandoned City 34: Rano enters the storage facility, finds Lucy, but is ambushed and knocked out by Ryan. Lessa and Ra converse, sending Lessa into shock and despair. Rano awakes, confronted by Ares.

The Abandoned City 35: Rano and Ares talk, Ares reveals he owns and built the Hexagon Field through corrupted politicians vying for immortality. Ares reveals that the Apollon project is about to be launched, and that all the capture demans were already at the venue. Young-sam, Miena, and Yuzuru realise that the same and race for the venue. Lessa recalls why he descended to Earth to save Ares' life and his wish to save all that he can see before him, still in despair. The countdown to the launch of the Apollon project begins.

The Abandoned City 36: Rano tries to and fails burn through his bindings while Ares mocks him and Ra. Miena and Young-sam try and fail to enter the venue. Lessa remembers his promise with Rano and regains his conviction. He uses his power to cut through space to reach the Apollon, taking on a form similar to his true body for the first time, and slices space and the Apollon project in half which then explodes into flames. Rano takes on a half-angelic form for the first time and gains the power to burn through his bindings. He rescues Lucy in the remnants of the shattered Apollon. Rano and Lucy see Lessa, who encourages Rano to grow stronger before leaving.

The Abandoned City 37: 2 months pass since the last chapter. Lessa doesn't return. Rano and Lucy visit their parents' graves. Rano gives Lucy the birthday gift he held onto the entire time. Miena, Yuzuru, and Young-sam meet up with them, and they celebrate Lucy's birthday. Ares has been scarred by the Apollon exploding, and kills the corrupt president John Smith after the reveal of the 10 hidden artificial suns. The demans begin to invade the Hexagon Field.
